The biggest problems with paving stones have been resolved
The Hungarian-owned company, which is part of the Bayer Group, entered the market in 2017 with Viastein Kft. The manufacturer’s decorative cladding products have become one of the most popular in the premium segment thanks to its unique, comprehensive paving system, but the company also uses proprietary technology for the post-production surface finishing of its products. The company, which offers a diverse range of colours and shapes, has now launched a new product range, with the emphasis on the quality of the surface finishes.
The luxury brand of paving stones has been launched
At an exclusive press event, we were given a first-hand look at the company’s new premium-range products. During the event, Sámuel Mészáros, Managing Director and Sales Director of Viastein Kft., said:
„From the very start, our aim has been to manufacture products of the highest possible quality. With this in mind, we built a processing plant alongside our factory, which has resulted in the LUX product range.”
„We do not intend to launch the LUX product range as a competitor to an existing category, but rather to open up a new segment within the paving stone market,” emphasised the director. As he pointed out: „Using this new technology, we have been able to create a surface that is absolutely unique and, in our view, meets the vast majority of requirements.”.
In terms of practicality, elegance, quality and durability, these products are among the finest on the market – not only in Hungary, but across the entire region.”
Born out of a problem
They approached product development by first considering what the biggest problem with paving stones was. The experts at Viastein saw the drawbacks of concrete as the downside of the products: concrete struggles to meet the requirements of ease of handling, cleanliness and longevity, as it gets dirty, fades and is difficult to clean.
„With our new product,” pointed out Sámuel Mészáros, “we have therefore used a surface treatment that eliminates these problems. Once we have manufactured the semi-finished product and left it to cure for a week, we finish the surface by shot-blasting. We then heat the products and apply and burn onto them a material that lasts for the product’s entire lifespan. Once it has set, it seals the pores of the concrete, thereby resolving all its undesirable properties.”
Not just flooring – an investment
Thanks to their special coating, Viastein LUX products are easy to clean and resistant to impact and wear. Their use therefore represents not only a flooring solution but also an investment, as their exceptional durability ensures they retain their value.
The common thread running through the new Viastein collection is its uncompromising quality. Among the paving stones optimised for different requirements, the Grando LUX stands out as the most distinctive piece in the range. It creates a large-scale, clean overall effect whilst visually expanding the space. This could be the best choice for spacious terraces and exclusive lounge areas.
For those seeking sophistication, the Sempre Grando LUX and Folio Fino LUX models are recommended. They are harmonious, well-proportioned and present a cohesive appearance in every respect; whilst the Florence LUX is the ideal choice for those who appreciate classic elegance.
