A new sports hall could be built on the site of an abandoned brick factory on the western border

The Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium (ÉKM) on TED has announced the public procurement of architectural, engineering and design services for the new sports hall in Karmen. The call for tenders will be for the preparation of permit and design documentation for a multifunctional sports hall.

The contracting authority also specified the main design tasks, which will include a training centre and a reception building in addition to the sports hall. However, the future winner will also have to prepare, among other things, a BIM Level 3 modellt according to LOD (Level of Development) level of detail 300.

The hall will have a grandstand with almost 3000 seats

The public procurement also shows that the future site is an easily accessible former brickworks site, making the project a brownfield investment.

The sports hall's training fields will provide space for basketball, fencing, futsal, kick-boxing, wrestling and other local sports activities. The hall will also include an auditorium with a seating capacity of almost 3,000, a gym for athletes and a public gym.

The training centre will be connected to the hall building, but will be a separate unit, with training courts and changing rooms for basketball, fencing and wrestling for the purposes of youth training. Two basketball courts for streetball or 3×3 basketball are planned to be built in the open space adjacent to the reception building, suitable for recreational activities. The installation of street workout training machines is planned next to the courts. The complex will also include parking areas and a bus stop with two parking spaces.
