A long-awaited kindergarten complex could be built in a 15 000-strong agglomeration

A kindergarten and a day nursery will be built on the eastern edge of Biatorbágy, on a 12,000 square metre site in Forrás Street, currently covered with woods and bushes, along with a kitchen serving the institutions, following an open planning concept that is sensitive to its surroundings.

As we previously reported in the announcement, four groups of institutions with a total floor space of approximately 2,300 m2 and a fully equipped main kitchen of approximately 400 m2 with a capacity of 350 meals will serve families with young children in this popular suburban town.

The greenfield investment must be completed by 31 March 2025 at the latest, within a period of approximately 15 months. winning Épkar Zrt. employees must complete complex construction work worth a total of approximately HUF 2.4 billion, during which

the complex of three buildings, their surroundings and the complete general construction of the pedestrian axis between the nursery and the kindergarten are also part of the project.

Advanced engineering, technology without excess

The planned investments will be carried out on a single building plot, as part of a single investment project covering an area of approximately 12 thousand m². The buildings are typically to be constructed with a monolithic reinforced concrete supporting structure with ceramic load-bearing masonry. The one-storey sections will be of flat roof design, the classrooms will have semi-pitched roofs, and the two-storey sections will have gable roofs. In the northern part of the site, a block fence will be constructed along the site boundary, with a substructure that will also serve as an external retaining wall for the proposed landscaping. The high roofs will be clad with pre-cast aluminium sheeting with a 10 cm ventilated air gap and a full surface waterproofing layer, while the flat roofs will be of a reverse layered flat roof construction with a green roof.

The contractor will install 35 kW, 70 500 Wp solar panels on the roof of the nursery and 20 kW, 40 500 Wp solar panels on the roof of the kindergarten, which will also supply the mechanical equipment, as well as four heat pumps, underfloor heating and ceiling heating/cooling, 18 fan-coils and 5 air curtains.
