Broomstick has been placed on one of the largest developments at Semmelweis University

According to Péter Kis's plans for Plant-Atelier, the comprehensive development of the clinic being built in the Épkar Zrt., is one of the largest current investments of Semmelweis University. The new imaging centre has now reached the structural completion stage, which was commemorated with a ceremonial topping-out ceremony attended by the investor, the designer and the contractor's staff, as we learned from Épkar Facebook post.

A seven-storey building with a grid-like facade, varied roof planes and a large intensive green roof will be constructed, which will allow for the expansion of the Clinic's diagnostic capacity as well as cutting-edge diagnostic training.

A glass bridge will connect the two buildings

In addition to the outpatient and intervention floors, a new teaching floor and underground car park will be built in the more than 4400 m² building, which will be connected to the hospital building at 68 Városmajor Street by a steel-framed glass bridge. "The core of the sculptural mass will follow the height of the ledge of the adjacent building," the architects write of the proposed building.

The bridge connecting the second floors of the two buildings will also maintain the visual connection of Városmajor to Acsády Ignác Street, while providing access.
