The commercial hall, built by HÉP, also houses two shops.

On 11 September, the new store designed by Horváth Építőmester Zrt. (HÉP), where KIK and Rossmann stores make life easier for the residents of Kecskemét.

The project, completed on a 6000m2 plot on Budai út, involved the construction of a 1200m2 hall, which took 10 months

- we learnt from Tibor Bukta, the construction manager.

The shops are already open

Kecskemét-based, two-time Construction Industry of the Year Award winner and Kada Elek Award winner HÉP - Horváth Építőmester Zrt. built the new commercial hall for Szeged-based TT1 Ingatlan Kft.. The complex is located at Kecskemét 14604/6, Tordai utca 4 - although the entrance to the shops is from Budai út.

After 10 months of construction, the Rossmann and KIK shops have moved into the building and opened their doors to the public. The City of Kecskemét was represented at the ceremony on Wednesday afternoon by Prof.

Rikk Róbert, managing director of KIK, said: This is their third shop in Kecskemét, but they are already considering a fourth, reported baon.hu. Six people work at the KIK on Budai Road, all of whom are from Kecskemét, and one of them even lives in the neighbouring housing estate, he added.

Modern design

Two commercial units have been created in the building: one with a total floor area of 463.73 m2 and the other with a total floor area of 659.02 m2. Both units naturally include storage (which can be filled via the rear frontage wing) and service units, but the contractor has also created an office space for one of the shops.

As pointed out by István Szűcs and Imre Bense, the Chief Engineers of the HÉP participating in the project:

The ground floor building is constructed with a steel load-bearing structure, Kingspan sandwich panel masonry, with a low pitch pitched truss supported roof. It is heated by air-to-water heat pumps.
