Leier Sample house - energy efficient family home ready in a week

From spring, the Leier home for a family of five will be on display at the Szentendre Science and Technology Industrial Park show house site.

A new Leier building with non-lightweight construction technology joins the range of ÉMI, or Építésügyi Minőségellenőrző Innovációs Nonprofit Kft. show houses. Here, alongside the professional public, those preparing to build will be able to discover the sustainable, innovative solutions and technologies available on the domestic market for sustainable model homes.

Variable partitioning of interior spaces

The latest model house Leier was designed by Parádi Zsuzsanna to fit a 12×8 meter installation space. Despite the name of the model house, it also offers its future residents the opportunity to choose the most optimal solution for their lifestyle, both for the roof and the interior layout.

Upstairs, there is the option of one, two or even three bedrooms. If the client needs less space, the ground floor living room can be designed with a gallery connection. The higher ceilings create an elegant, representative feeling of space.

Innovative insulation systems speed up construction

The newest, ninth element of the Mint House Park is in line with the objectives of the site, using innovative technology, is extremely fast to build and even energy efficient. The construction will be carried out by House-Solution Kft. and S&S Wood Kft. specialists.

With Leier precast reinforced concrete bark walls and master panel slab elements, the house can be ready for construction in as little as one week.

Austrotherm insulation was installed under the slab foundations of the house in a thickness of 2×8 cm. The waterproofing is provided by Dörken's embossed slab, which replaces the precast concrete and also insulates against ground moisture.

With prefabricated elements, the structural completion level can be reached in 1 week

After the foundation was laid, the construction was accelerated, as the family home took shape in a matter of days with the Leier dimensionally accurate bark walls and bark slab. The bark formwork is designed to incorporate electrical fittings during the manufacturing process, eliminating the on-site chiselling of electrical boxes and associated protective piping.

The prefabricated bark walls installed on the ground floor of the show house were delivered from the factory to the Szentendre site with the Innopan MF/Therm Front-E PIR integrated thermal insulation already installed. The insulated walls are not only energy efficient, but also have outstanding fire resistance with a tested 45-minute fire limit.

During reinforced concrete panel construction, the crane lifts the elements directly from the factory into place on the work site. This means that the client does not have to deal with the storage of building materials or the insulation work.

The construction of the model house in Szentendre is already in the process of putting the elements of the roof in place, as shown in our photo gallery. Work then continues with the installation of the internal partition walls and chimney and the roof insulation.

Filigree walls maximise the useful floor space

Another advantage of using Leier products, in addition to shortening the construction time, is that the prefabricated thin, so-called filigree wall construction can increase the useful floor area of the building compared to conventional solutions. The shape of the roof can be varied according to the customer's requirements and the town planning regulations, so that gable and flat roofs are available as options.

At the Leier model house in Szentendre, the roof is constructed with an asymmetrical coffered ceiling, allowing two types of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements to be displayed to interested visitors. One side is a master panel ceiling element, while the other side, with a steeper 45-degree roof pitch, uses Leier climate wall elements.

The roof will be covered with Dörken underlay, air and vapour barrier, and thermal bridge-free roof insulation products. This layer structure is topped with the new Leier Granite brillant silver-grey roof tiles.

Concrete on the facade?

The façade is constructed using internal thermal insulation bark elements. The exposed concrete surfaces include smooth, textured and matted versions.

This solution is designed to show the versatility of concrete, that it can be used not only as a structural support, but also as a cladding.

Energy efficiency will be ensured by the thermal insulation of the Austrotherm façade. In addition to the design of the roof and façade, the ROTO windows will also play a major role in the building's character.

Award-winning elements are incorporated

The model house will, of course, feature the Construma award-winning air-conditioning slab in 2022. The latter will simplify the installation of the mechanical system. The piping in the master panel serves the heat pump in addition to delivering heating and cooling water. The air-conditioning panel incorporates Hungary's innovative Wavin energy-efficient surface heating and cooling system. It is based on the Leier master panels, which include the Wavin pipes already integrated at the factory, thus significantly reducing the installation and assembly time of the heating/cooling fittings.

In addition to the staircase and balcony elements from the Leier prefabricated product range, which will also be featured in the show house project, the company's partition brick and bridging element will also be joined by the Leier canopy.
