The square in front of the University of Gödöllő's auditorium is reborn
The auditorium building at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences in Gödöllő is being modernised. According to information from public procurement information, the work will be carried out by Belvárosi Építő Kft..
According to the notice, the pavement of the MATE in front of the St. Stephen's Campus auditorium is worn, fragmented, in a state of accident hazard, and its load-bearing capacity does not meet the requirements for the fire brigade parade area. In addition, the fountain in the square is unusable and outdated. Restoring and operating it in its current size and design is not economically sustainable," they said.
The construction covers almost 3000 m2 of surface. Almost 2,000m2 of the ornamental space will be renewed with new paving and a 170m2 fountain in the centre of the square, smaller than the current one but more modern and richer in terms of pedestrian experience and experience.
A new life in the square
The fountain has a false floor structure with a marble slab cover. The water feature is illuminated by 27 underwater LED luminaires. Humidifying nozzles (54 nozzles, 0,4mm) are placed next to the fountain nozzles to provide humidification during the summer. The refurbishment of the existing machine room and the construction of a new cover will also be part of the project.
Approximately 1000m2 of green space will be renewed, with more than 3000 biodiverse plants, shrubs and trees planted, and watered by a modern irrigation system.
To create a modern student space, 6 public benches with mobile phone charging facilities will be installed, as well as 8 bicycle storage facilities. Street lighting will be provided by 10 new candelabras.
