The walls of Érd's new crèche are already standing

Érd's third municipal nursery, with a capacity of 84 places, is being built at a good pace, with the structural work being carried out by Épkar Zrt. As their community page: „We have started the foundation work” – and according to the pictures, in addition to the construction of the retaining walls, the monolithic reinforced concrete slab is already being concreted in two places.

Moderate shaping

As an agglomeration, Érd is home to many families with young children and the average age of the population is under 40; however, the number of municipal nurseries was insufficient to meet the needs of the population. Its construction, engineering and styling are also based on restrained, durable solutions.

Monolithic reinforced concrete slab foundations, monolithic reinforced concrete slabs and 25- and 30-foot block brick bearing walls will be built for the new 4+2 classroom nursery, which will occupy less than a quarter of the 5500 m² plot, with a floor area of 930 m².

Equipped with state-of-the-art engineering

The building's height of less than five metres and the simple, timber-framed gable roof with standing seam roofing show a restrained design, but the engineering is state-of-the-art:

heat pumps and surface cooling-heating will be installed to temper the building, and the kitchen and interior rooms will be equipped with a central ventilation system.

A 17+1 parking space and a 12-space bicycle storage will support the operation of the fully accessible facility, which will be delivered to the contractor furnished and equipped with a terrace for the classrooms, a reinforced concrete frame around the building, and a playground for the two care units.
