Scaffolding will soon be removed from the new Semmelweis Imaging Centre

According to Péter Kis's plans for Plant-Atelier, the Épkar Zrt. will be built at the Semmelweis University"s new Imaging Centre at its Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Clinic on Városmajor Street. As revealed in Épkar's Facebook post, one of the world-renowned institution's largest current investments has now begun to take shape.

With its full layering completed, the varied pitch, corbelled sheet metal roof is now being installed by the contractor's staff.

Meanwhile, the new building is being fitted with the facade cladding and the windows and doors have been installed. The structure of the bridge linking the second floors of the two buildings is already in place, and the glass surfaces will soon be installed.

Comprehensive development

Our country's largest healthcare institution is making huge infrastructure improvements. In addition to general maintenance, the university is expanding and modernising many of its buildings. In the past year alone, we have reported the development of ten teaching spaces:

One of the biggest undertakings in this series is the expansion of the Heart and Vascular Clinic on Városmajor Street with a new seven-storey building, which will blend into its surroundings with a grid-like facade, varied roof planes and a large, intensive green roof. The project is also technologically very advanced, as it will increase the diagnostic capacity of the clinic and enable cutting-edge diagnostic training.
