University of Miskolc students can live in a stimulating environment

The apartments will first be occupied by participants in the U20 Women's Basketball European Championship Division B, held between 2 and 10 August, and from September onwards, university students will be able to move into the building, which has been equipped with state-of-the-art mechanical and insulation systems thanks to the work of Épkar Zrt.. Air-conditioned rooms, apartments with kitchenettes and private bathrooms, laundry and cooking facilities, and a communal area will be available for students.

The university of renewal

This is how Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth, the university's rector, defined her own university. A truly enormous transformation is taking place at the University of Miskolc: by 2026, the university's all of its halls of residence will be renovated; the university restaurant and its surroundings; and in 2024, the Miskolc Scientific Data Analysis Methodology Centre and Open Research Data Repository was handed over in 2024.

Their aim is to increase the prestige of the university and thus the city of Miskolc, and to strengthen the long-established institution as a leading scientific and technical workshop in the region by attracting more students and market partners.
