New attractions enrich the spa and adventure park in Kisvárda

According to information published on the Public Procurement Authority's website information published on the Public Procurement Authority's website, the Aquacinema spa and adventure park in Kisvárda is to be modernised. The investment, worth 227 million forints, will be carried out by Nyír-MG Trend Bau, based in Nyíregyháza.

Renewable pools and new aquatic experiences

Children's pool renovation

The indoor children's world will undergo a complete structural and mechanical renovation. The pool will be expanded with new features, including neck showers, bubble beds and back massages, while the water treatment technology will also be modernised.

Covering the central thermal pool

The outdoor thermal pool can be used regardless of the weather thanks to its wooden support structure and polycarbonate cover. The glazed wooden roof structure contributes to the comfort of the area with its long-term protection and aesthetic appearance.

New sauna, sunshades and service buildings

Outdoor sauna construction

A new Finnish sauna cabin with a capacity of 10 people is being built adjacent to the central building of the spa. The structure, clad in heat-treated pine, is connected to a traditional timber-framed canopy with bitumen shingle roofing.

Building value retention

Two new steel-framed, plastic-coated sandwich panel facade security lockers will serve the comfort and safety of guests.

Shading for water slide parks and outdoor pools

A steel support structure with a wooden slatted roof covered with tarpaulin will be built above the water slide park, while the outdoor children's, adventure and wave pools will be shaded by sun sails. Galvanised steel fittings and waterproof tarpaulins provide effective protection against the sun.

Server systems and infrastructure developments

As part of the project, the low-voltage network will be expanded: new access points, turnstiles, a camera system, a public address system and cabinet control will also be installed. A 15-zone automatic irrigation system will be installed, paved footpaths will be built, and lighting will be installed in the passageway, along with a 24-volt electrical system for the quiet experience pool and an electric car charger.

The history and significance of the baths in Kisvárda

Kisvárda is located in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, and its spa has a history dating back several decades. The Aquacinema opened in 2018, but the medicinal water itself has been serving guests since 1971. The hydrogen carbonate-rich water, which rises from a depth of 602 metres, received official medicinal water certification in 1978. Its effects are primarily recognised in the treatment of gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, gynaecological and inflammatory complaints.
