Four lanes on one of the busiest roads in Hungary in a few years
The 215-kilometre-long Main Road 47 is one of Hungary's busiest roads, serving as the primary freight transport axis between Debrecen and Szeged. Its widening has been necessary for a long time, and according to the latest design announcement, this is finally within reach.
The design tasks for the four-laning of the road 47 cover two sections (between sections 5+280 - 7+630 km), for a total of about 2.35 km.
A grade-separated junction is also required at the intersection of Hermann Kronseder Street, south of Debrecen, for which permit and design plans must be prepared.
Preparatory tasks for the upgrading of the current 2×1 to 2×2 lane main road
- the Environmental Impact Assessment,
- the preparation of permit and construction plans, and
- obtaining the necessary building permits.
