The central road of the town of Nógrád has been renovated

We recently wrote about the HE-DO and Colas Út Zrt. consortium is also working on the complex investment of main road 23 in winter: after the 2.3-kilometre-long, 2×1-lane bypass and the 2.19-kilometre-long, 2×1-lane north-south connecting road were handed over in December last year, the development of the crossing section of Main Road 23 will be carried out in 2024.

We now report on another project, also in the municipality of Nógrád, where the renovation of the Jedlik Ányos street in the centre of Bátonyterenye was carried out by HE-DO independently over a length of 134 m and a surface area of 600 m².

Construction took less than a month

As they explain in a statement on their website, the rehabilitation of the old, poorly maintained road will primarily help people living in the affected part of the settlement. The first phase of the work involved the construction of temporary traffic engineering, followed by, among other things, the removal of the kerb, the construction of a new kerb, the repair of defects in the road structure, the repair of the rainwater drainage system, the construction of the asphalt overlay and finally the landscaping.

"During the project, we renewed the asphalt wearing course, replaced 300 m of the double-sided recessed kerb and repaired the blocked rainwater drainage channel" - reported Jenő Reichardt, the chief architect of HE-DO.

The work started at the end of November 2023 and was completed within a month by HE-DO. The project was funded by the national treasury and commissioned by the municipality of Bátonyterenye.
