Road building
A series of road improvements in the south-eastern corner of the country has started
A quarter of a billion forint road improvement project will begin in Csanádapáca, Békés county, the local government said on Thursday. The 247 million forint subsidy was won from the EU's Operational Programme for Spatial and Urban Development (TOP) Plus. The works will start on Thursday and the construction should be completed within a year.
The money will be used to improve the inland road network in four locations in the municipality of 2300 inhabitants. Three of the roads are currently paved, but the surface is ageing, dilapidated and potholed in several places. These streets are being resurfaced, while the fourth is a dirt road, where a new pavement will be built
- they said.
