Road building
The track of the roads parallel to Üllői út is being renovated in Kőbánya
On 9 September, the modernisation of two important, contiguous sections of road in Pest's District X, Fertő Street and Bese Street, started, with a total length of 1.55 kilometres. The work is being carried out by Budapest Közút Zrt., a municipal contractor of the capital's municipality. According to the company, the project involves a large-scale asphalting of 15,000 square metres of the road section.
The work is being carried out in three phases between Fradi's Népliget sports centre and Kőér Street and is expected to be completed by the end of October. The exact dates of the closures can be found on the company's website here.
The work will involve milling away the fragmented pavement and laying a new asphalt wearing course. At the same time, fittings will be levelled and some culverts will be rebuilt. The pavement of the pedestrian crossing in front of the FTC-MVM Népligeti Sports Centre will also be renovated.
