We have previously reported on several occasions about the renovation of the Pentele Bridge spanning the Danube, based on information provided by the operator and main contractor MKIF – Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt.. Now the Hungarian company has also released a spectacular video posted on Facebook about the latest development in the process that has been ongoing since March.
As the post adds, the works currently underway will involve the replacement of 13 hinges and 8 dilatation structures.
They also point out that specialised colleagues
The task of moving elements weighing between 2 and 6 tonnes, while securing the water, is a very serious engineering challenge, as these elements weighing hundreds of kilograms have to be moved and lifted into place with millimetre precision at a height of about 50 metres.
The post also describes the dates of the next phase of road closures required by the construction, and you can read the information here.
