Modern hub and modern utilities

As part of the project, a new traffic light junction has been created at the intersection of Virágpatak Street and Ócsai Road, which serves the traffic of the main road 5, which will significantly improve traffic safety and faster passage from the downstream directions, the information note summarises.

They add that in addition to the road and cycle path construction, the following utility improvements have also been completed:

  • new drinking water pipes were installed,
  • an upgraded gas pipeline network was completed,
  • the site received a renewed street lighting and power system,
  • the complete stormwater and sewage drainage system was completed,
  • and the telecoms network has also been modernised.

Focus on the development of industrial sites

The recently completed project was aimed at cleaning up the previously neglected industrial areas of Soroksár. The development will create modern and safe transport links for the economic operators in the area, while also paving the way for future phases of road construction to relieve the district's congestion, the summary points out.

The HE-DO took over the work site on 23 July 2024 and started the site preparation the following day. The works were carried out on schedule, with the road, utility and infrastructure works being carried out in succession, and have now been successfully completed - one month ahead of schedule.
