Road to Karcag rebuilt
In its own investment, using domestic resources, modernised a nearly 2-kilometre section of the road between Füzesgyarmat and Bucsa, from the Füzesgyarmat boundary sign towards Bucsa, at a cost of HUF 241 million, as announced recently at a press conference held on site by András Cserkúti, the county director of the state road management company, rel="noopener">beol.hu report.
Over the past two months, in August and September, the 1996-metre stretch was given a two-layer asphalt pavement. The embankment was repaired and permanent pavement markings were painted.
These may include the following projects
Also present at the event, István Kónya, regional councillor of the Békés County Assembly used the opportunity to say that two additional road sections have been reported to Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium for development:
- one for the Békés county section of the 4206 road between Füzesgyarmat and Karcag,
- and the other on the road 4234, Szeghalom-Vésztő-Doboz-Gyula
applies.

He stressed that the further upgrading of the 4206 road between Füzesgyarmat and Karcag is essential, adding that the section will help road users to reach the main road 4 and the M4 from North Békés. A full 23-kilometre upgrade of the Békés county section of the section is planned, including strengthening the road structure and upgrading the bridge over the Sárrét canal in Buca.
The investment would cost around HUF 9.5 billion, he said.
