This pumping station construction will increase inland water and flood safety in the South East Plain - photos

We have already reported several times reported on the Körtvélyesi pumping station project in Csongrád-Csanád County, which aims, among other things, to protect the population and agricultural areas of the Hódmezővásárhely region from the risk of flooding and inland water by rebuilding the structure and its surroundings. As we wrote, the construction is being carried out by Kötiviép’B Kft. on behalf of the National Water Authority (OVF).

Recently, the Lower Tisza Region Water Management Directorate (ATIVIZIG), which is part of the OVF, published communication channels about its investment, which is being implemented with EU support, at a cost of nearly HUF 3 billion, and is progressing according to plan.

These tasks were carried out in the second half of the spring

As reported by ATIVIZIG, the demolition of the underground building elements of the pump station's machinery building has been completed and the working pit has been backfilled with clay fraction soil and layer compaction. The reed slabs have also been removed and the concrete demolition work has been completed.

A trial run of the pump's provizorium was also carried out back in April, followed by a pumping operation to reduce the water to the operating level.

As the information note indicates, the site preparation works necessary to dewater the construction workspace on the side of the pumped works have been completed and the reduction of the vacuum groundwater level is ongoing. In addition, the road maintenance and site preparation works are progressing steadily.
