Speed restrictions are being imposed on the Hatvan–Szolnok railway line
The MÁV team are carrying out track maintenance in two phases on the Hatvan–Szolnok railway line. The works, taking place between 9 and 18 October, will affect both mainline and station tracks: in addition to track and points adjustments, more than three hundred sleepers will be replaced, as well as a set of points at Jászberény.
Journey times may be reduced
The removal of speed restrictions will eliminate a six-minute delay on the line. According to MÁV states that the maintenance work will improve train punctuality and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
The work is being carried out in two phases
During the works, replacement bus services will be organised in two phases: replacement buses will run between Hatvan and Jászberény from 9 to 15 October, and then between Jászberény and Újszász from 16 to 18 October.
