Hungary's new world-class combat vehicle factory inaugurated in Zalaegerszeg

One of Hungary's most significant and unique developments, the factory manufacturing Lynx infantry fighting vehicles, was officially handed over on Thursday. The investment by the German Rheinmetall and the Hungarian state joint venture was carried out by ZÁÉV Építőipari Zrt. and KÉSZ Csoport, as announced at last year's ceremonial inauguration ceremony last year. Several member companies took part in the latter part of the project: KÉSZ Építő és Szerelő Zrt. Civil Engineering Directorate, KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft., KÉSZ Metaltech Kft., as well as the group's strategic partners BauLog Kft. and bim.GROUP.

In close cooperation with the test track

The ZalaZONE automotive test track, located in the immediate vicinity of the 30,000 square metre combat vehicle manufacturing facility, covers an area of approximately 30 hectares and is designed to meet the specific requirements of off-road vehicles test environment tailored to the specific needs of off-road vehicles. which were implemented by the consortium of Duna Aszfalt Zrt. and Szabadics Zrt.. consortium based on the plans of Óbuda Építész Stúdió . In addition, certain facilities related to this test track are also being implemented through the joint work of ZÁÉV and KÉSZ Csoport.

A huge construction project has come to an end

Today's inauguration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Armin Pappenberger, CEO of Rheinmetall, followed by the launch of the plant.
