For 89 billion forints of improvements in healthcare institutions

The Jedlik Ányos Energy Programme with a budget of nearly HUF 89 billion; the development of hospitals will be financed from European Union funds, said the State Secretary for Energy at the Ministry of Energy at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.

Lower energy bills for hospitals

Attila Steiner pointed out that the aim of the major hospital energy modernisation programme is to ensure that the institutions that have won the tender remain operational in the long term and have to spend much less on energy bills. To this end, the tender will support the replacement of windows and doors, insulation and heating modernisation in the institutions concerned.

He added that, according to preliminary estimates, 70 hospital buildings and 20 ambulance stations will be renovated from the HUF 89 billion budget.
