The Media Section of ÉVOSZ presented awards that are unique in Hungary, encouraging players in the construction industry to communicate their activities to the public in a more effective and conscious manner.

The end of the year is a time of standstill, or at least slowdown, for the construction industry, so it is worth looking back at the projects that were significant or even outstanding during the year.

The Építési Vállalkozók Országos Szakszövetsége (ÉVOSZ) on 10 December, the Construction Industry Quality Award, but also the Lechner Ödön Awards for outstanding professional and social activities, but also held an award ceremony for the Media Section of the professional organisation.

The awards highlighted the most outstanding professionals and projects in construction industry communication and social engagement.

The award was created in response to the changing communications environment, the spread of social media platforms, and the increasing importance of marketing communications in the construction industry. It plays a role not only in strengthening relationships between industry players, but also in improving the social perception of the construction industry.

Péter Kincses, chairman of the ÉVOSZ Media Section, expressed his delight in his welcoming speech that a new professional tradition had been established last year, as evidenced by the nearly 30 outstanding entries this year. These make it clear that

  • without communication, there is no strong brand,
  • no employer appeal and
  • nor does it have an industry reputation.

Péter Kincses added that there are many talented professionals who are capable of building all this. „This is extremely important feedback for us; we are on the right track.”

The Social Role of the Construction Industry in the Year

The Mapei Kft. Construction Industry Professional Community Development Programme was the winner in the Construction Industry Social Responsibility category because it implemented a complex, system-level programme that addresses a real social problem.

The Construction Industry Professional Community development programme not only provides professional education, but also builds community and creates prestige for the construction industry. With more than 10,000 members, national professional meetings, 13,000 people trained in a single year, and educational initiatives ranging from preschoolers to professionals, the programme's strength is evident. The work of Mapei Kft. is pure value creation, which shapes the social perception of the profession in the long term and contributes to alleviating the shortage of professionals. This application is exemplary and deservedly won first place.

Annual Construction Industry Project Communication Campaign

The Market Építő Zrt. project demonstrated through its communication of the Körszálló metamorphosis project that it is possible to communicate in a credible, transparent and comprehensible manner in the construction industry. It succeeded in making a highly controversial investment socially acceptable and even professionally recognised.

The strength of the campaign lies in its complete openness, clear presentation of professional arguments, and innovative visual storytelling: archive footage, drone videos, visual designs, and detailed online content made the process transparent. Market did not respond to criticism, but wrote a new story about the fate of Körszálló, building trust in the investment. This project communication performance is exemplary and deservedly earned first place.

Annual Construction Industry Brand Communication Campaign

The NOVU – Innovation at Work campaign, winner of the Construction Industry Brand Communication category, built not just a project, but an entire brand identity from scratch. The comprehensive revamp – image, tone, communication style – created a unified narrative interwoven with humour and directness, which became truly powerful through community-based thinking and the involvement of authentic internal figures.

The campaign achieved organic growth without advertising, building a consistent and long-term story across multiple channels. This is not a one-off campaign, but genuine brand building, which serves as an industry milestone in showing how to create a modern, people-oriented and innovative brand in the construction industry. It deservedly earned first place.
