The demands placed on roof structures are extremely high: durability and reliability are also minimum requirements, which can only be met by using top-quality materials. The benefits offered by Terrán KészTető are achieved through technological innovation and the use of premium raw materials such as spruce, which is the essence of prefabricated structures. It is characterised by strength, flexibility and ease of machining, available in solid and laminated glued laminated wood to suit your needs.

Solid spruce and laminated glued wood are popular materials in the construction industry because they have a long service life and are environmentally friendly when used with the right treatment and processing techniques. These are of particular importance for Terrán.

The solid wood

Structural solid wood is manufactured to strict quality standards, guaranteeing durability and excellent stability. After drying, the individual elements are cut to size, glued together, pressed together under high pressure and then surface treated.

The removal of kinks and cracks is a very important part of the process to ensure a more uniform final product. It is characterised by outstanding dimensional stability, load capacity and ease of machining.

The plywood glued wood

The special technology used in the production of glued laminated timber creates structural elements that are larger, stronger and less prone to warping. After careful drying, laminating and gluing, the boards are compressed under high pressure, cut to size and surface-treated. The materials used for gluing must comply with strict environmental standards.

This type is particularly advantageous for large-span structures such as sports or industrial halls.

Preserving wood under changing conditions

Many factors influence logging and the availability of raw materials: climate change, pests and diseases, forest fires, economic development, and political and regulatory changes are all significant factors. A number of responses have been developed to minimise the risks and negative impacts.

Adaptive forest management takes into account the effects of climate change and unpredictable environmental conditions. The EU has developed programmes to prevent and manage the spread of pests and diseases, increased fire protection measures to prevent and manage forest fires, and sustainable forest management certificates.

The Terrán is constantly striving to develop and optimise its operations to minimise its ecological footprint and preserve the health and biodiversity of our environment.
