A tender process has been launched to create a greener and tidier environment.

Exactly one year ago we reported that in Balatonfüred, the Forrás SportPark project is set to undergo development. As part of this complex tourism development project, funded by the EU

They would build a new visitor centre for cyclists, improve the area around the existing lake, construct a new jetty, provide shade for the existing terraces and install modern lighting along the running track.

As no contractor was selected at the time to carry out the restoration of the lake, a new conditional procedure has now been launched to remedy this, according to the EU Public Procurement Bulletin announcement.

The aim of the construction contract awarded under the project „Comprehensive Tourism Development of Balatonfüred, Forrás Sport Park” is to create a more orderly, greener environment that is even better suited to community use in this popular sports and recreation area.

A greener and tidier environment is being created

As part of the project, landscaping and environmental improvement works would be carried out across a total area of 2,779 square metres. During the development, several existing trees and shrubs would be removed, and site preparation would also form part of the works.

A key element of the project is the creation of new planting. A total of 169 plants would be planted, and the site would also be fully turfed. An automatic irrigation system would assist with their maintenance.

Paving and garden edging would also be installed

The project involves not only landscaping work but also infrastructure elements designed to facilitate community use. According to the plans, a 205-metre-long garden border will be constructed, and new paving will be laid over an area of nearly 200 square metres.
