Construction of the Paks2 project has started: the gap walling is already underway

The gap-walling works of the Paks project have started, and the excavation of the soil under Block 6 will begin in August, as well as the finalisation of the permits required for the complete excavation of the soil is proceeding as planned, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced in Budapest on Wednesday.

The Minister welcomed the fact that following the EU's approval, the opportunity to accelerate the Paks project has opened up, with the start of the gap-walling works and the excavation of the soil under unit 6 starting in August.

In addition, the finalisation of the design plans for the soil stabilisation is underway, as well as the finalisation of the permits and plans for the full soil excavation, which is also on schedule, he said.
