What is being built?
A new underpass connects the two previously separated parts of Tatabánya via the Budapest-Vienna railway line
The connection between Bánhida and Sárberek was established by A-Híd on the basis of the Speciálterv documentation.
Our newspaper regularly reported on the development, in which a new railway underpass was handed over in Tatabánya at the end of April on the Budapest-Vienna railway line . The seven billion forint investment was built by A-Híd Zrt., and the underpass was designed by Speciálterv Kft.. The project was originally carried out with the participation of NIF Nemzeti Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt. and then Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium, partly with EU support.
The works involved the construction of more than 824 metres of dual single carriageway road, including a 220-metre-long road underpass. In addition, a new railway bridge has been completed, spanning two tracks. The link road has a footpath and cycle path and is 6.5 metres wide.
Recently, Speciálterv posted a video on its YouTube page, showing a bird's-eye view of the bridge that will provide a convenient transport link between the two parts of the city.
