Tourists can sip wine from Tállya on a restored lookout

Tállya is a famous wine-producing town in the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region, a popular destination for tourists and hikers. The owner of the Oroszlános Borbirtok (Lion's Wine Estate) asked SWIETELSKY Magyarország Kft. to renovate the deteriorated lookout point on its grounds, which offers an unparalleled view of the Zemplén Hills.

The contractor was happy to accept the request.

The ageing structure was completely renovated in two weeks: the lookout was dismantled and reinforced down to the structure, and the roof, floor, railings and stairs were replaced.

Csaba Makkai, the project leader, managed the four million HUF reconstruction.

The team faced challenges during the implementation. One of them was that it was extremely difficult to get the building materials to the site, as these roads can only be traversed by off-road tractors. The operation took 25 minutes on the 3.5 km road from the edge of Tállya to the lookout. The power tools were powered by an aggregator due to the lack of mains electricity. But the difficult working conditions were compensated by the fantastic panoramic view of the Tokaj Hills wine region.

In return for the renovation, the lookout has a new name: SWIETELSKYLÁTÓ.
