One of the city's most modern cultural centres to be created in Debrecen
A community cultural centre for light music is being established in downtown Debrecen by the Hungarian Chamber of Architects one of its posts. Three properties on Dósa Nádor Square in the city centre have been designated for the project, for which the design competition has now been announced.
According to the MEK, the future centre will include performance and concert halls (indoor and outdoor), catering and accommodation facilities, and service spaces. The development is described as aiming to create one of the most modern entertainment and cultural centres in the city.
The deadline for submitting entries in the open competition, which has an EU threshold, is 10 October.The net amount available for the award and purchase of entries is HUF 8.5 million.
