The new logistics centre for the metropolitan agglomeration was inaugurated, tripling the capacity of Würth
Würth Szereléstechnika Kft., one of Hungary's largest distributors of assembly technology products, has officially opened its 1,950 square metre office building and 4,800 square metre warehouse in Törökbálint, according to a press release. The family business, based in Germany, has been present in Hungary for 36 years, their store network has a nationwide coverage, and the twentieth Würth Shop in Veszprém will open in November this year.
The development has more than tripled the company's storage capacity compared to its previous warehouse in Budaörs. The investment, worth nearly €26 million, started in 2021.
The general construction work was carried out by KÉSZ Csoport member company KÉSZ Építő és Szerelő Zrt., while the design of the doors and windows, the exterior cladding of the office building, the trapezoidal sheets and the acelor cladding were designed by bim.GROUP. The building plans were drawn up by Demeter Design Stúdió and Reload Építészstúdió. The general architects and interior designers were Nóra Demeter DLA (DDS Design), Anikó Petőcz-Tóth and Péter Csizmadi DLA (Reload Építészstúdió).
Natural light illuminates the glass surfaces of the office building
The Würth group was one of the first foreign companies to arrive in Hungary in 1988. The company started as a 4-person enterprise and today has 316 employees nationwide, of which nearly 130 work at the new headquarters in Turkish Balaton, the statement said.
Natural light, provided by the large glass surfaces of the office building, played a key role in the design of the new site in Törökbálint.
The lowering of the warehouse allows a view of the nearby wooded area, so the design of the building is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also in harmony with its surroundings.
The centre is completely gas-free, with heat pumps for cooling and heating the office building and warehouse. The buildings have energy classification BB. The office car park has 6 charging points for simultaneous charging of 12 electric cars. In the first phase of the solar power generation installation, a 175 KWh system has been installed on the roof of the warehouse, with further expansion planned.
The Würth group has long-term plans in Hungary
At the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, the owner of the company delivered a speech highlighting the rich history and future plans of the Hungarian company. The ceremony was attended by members of the Würth family, as well as a number of business partners and invited guests, who celebrated the company's new milestone together.
Gergely Csapó, Managing Director of Würth Szereléstechnika Kft. said at the opening ceremony:"Over the years, we have built an infrastructure that allows us to help our partners at any time: our 180-strong sales team specialises in specific industries, while we are constantly expanding our number of stores and developing our e-commerce. We have now created a backdrop for our diversified activities that will ensure uncompromising growth for decades to come. This centre is proof that the Würth Group is planning for the long term with its partners in Hungary. We believe that being close to our partners is a value".
Würth Szereléstechnika Kft. provides private label assembly products and a wide range of related services to all players in the economy. The company had (net) sales of nearly HUF 16.5 billion in 2023.
The Würth Szereléstechnika Kft. now has 24 000 partners. Out of the 180,000 Würth products sold in Germany, more than 77,000 are already available in Hungary, of which the newly opened warehouse in Turkish Balaton has the capacity to ensure that 11,500 are always available for your partners.
