Central object of district heating in North Buda to be developed

The VABEKO Engineering Kft. is carrying out the public procurement tender for the delivery and maintenance of gas turbine units for MVM Balance Zrt. at the North Buda Heating Plant.

According to the announcement published on TED announcement published on TED, the GT3 gas turbine and generator unit in the thermal power plant supplying heat to the Óbuda and North Buda district heating areas will be replaced due to a malfunction. The successful bidder will also be responsible for integrating the new unit into the existing systems.

According to the website of MVM Balance Zrt., the North Buda Cogeneration Power Plant on Kunigunda Road was commissioned in 2007. Its primary task is to meet the heating needs of the district heating districts of Óbuda and North Buda. It also generates electricity in conjunction with thermal energy, which it sells on the electricity market. At the same time, it sells its unused generation capacity on the system reserve capacity market during the summer.
