New Swiss precision plastics manufacturing centre completed in Zalaegerszeg
As part of an investment of 12 million euros (about 4.83 billion forints in today's median prices), the new 2500 square metre factory hall of the Swiss-owned EuropTec Kft. was inaugurated on Thursday in Zalaegerszeg. The Hungarian state provided a HUF 1 billion grant for the project. The development will also create 80-100 new jobs.
Further investments planned in Zala
Alexander Georg Fischer, CEO of EuropTec GmbH, recalled at the ceremony that for decades, the company has been producing high-quality plastic components in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, for medical and industrial partners and supplying them to many countries around the world. Their presence in Zala is still important, they are counting on it and are planning further investments here.
Gábor Belső, the managing director of EuropTec Kft., which currently employs 160 people, recalled that the Zalaegerszeg-based company was started in 1991 on the professional basis of the former MOM factory. The last time a factory building was built was in 2017, and this is the fourth in a series of developments.
