A renovated building awaits summer campers in Székesfehérvár

In November, demolition work began on the renovation of the Brewery Intermediate, the city's day-care camp. The 151 million HUF project has now seen the replacement of the entire roof cladding, new windows and windowsills, the renovation of the façade and the new cladding of the interior spaces and terraces. Internal adaptations are also being made to meet the needs of the children and teachers:

A workroom will be created, where hand-washing facilities will be provided, and a teachers' room with a kitchenette will be separated, with a pantry on each side of the building.

The building's surroundings will also be renewed

It's not just the indoor spaces that are being improved: in addition to extending the existing terrace and converting the front staircase, the experts are also creating a new terrace on the northern façade of the camp building, which will be covered with modern cold paving, a steel-framed terrace roof and railing, and a polycarbonate roof. A ramp for wheelchair access on the south side of the building will also be constructed to ensure fully barrier-free use. 

Work is also underway to renovate the façade of the building's water block and replace the roof cladding, as well as to modernise the pavement and rainwater drainage. The façade of the camp changing rooms and the bathrooms will also be renovated, the internal tiling and sanitary installations will be replaced and the car park will be renovated by the Municipal Services.

Works will be completed by the end of May, so children will be able to use the modern camp building during this year's holidays. Every year, the Bregyó camp is very popular and fully booked, with a total of 1600 children, mainly from Székesfehérvár, enjoying their free time in the beautiful surroundings during the summer holidays.
