What is being built?
Construction of the newest residential building with panoramic views of the Danube in the XIIIth district
The 314-apartment building complex has reached its highest point on Népfürdő Street in the capital. Opposite Dagály Beach, the investor and general contractor iDOM Házépítő Kft. and structural engineer CLC Construct Kft. are building the eleven-storey Beluga Bay apartment building opposite Dagály Beach, which will have A+ category, energy-efficient apartments equipped with ceiling cooling and heating, two basement parking levels, and ground floor retail and catering units.
Exciting solutions with prefabrication
Several architectural tricks help to ensure that every flat in the residential building has a large terrace, such as the recessed upper floors and the curved indentation of the eastern front of the building, which surrounds the enclosed courtyard and borders the park. INETON Kft., responsible for the production of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements, achieved all this with impressive production volumes.
The INETON contributed to the project by delivering more than 32 000 m2 of precast reinforced concrete elements.
For the large-scale construction project, shell walls (7,000 m² climate ceilings (20,000 m²), balcony elements (4,600 m²), solid walls (1,000 m²), and staircases (70 m³) at the INETON plant in Alsónémedi," we learned from the company's employees.
The walls have been finished with a transparent concrete quality
The ceiling cooling and heating system of the A+ category, energy-efficient flats was pre-installed in the climate ceilings, thus requiring minimal formwork and labour during on-site installation. The climate ceilings were finished with a surface resembling exposed concrete on the lower (visible) plane, as were the balcony elements.
Prefabricated staircases were also supplied for the Beluga project, which can be fitted with built-in edge protection and anti-slip profiles. The product is highly wear-resistant and its exposed concrete-quality surface can also be treated with concrete impregnation.
Special production technology has reduced the need for rework
As the outer face of both bark faces of the bark wall has a uniformly smooth, pore-free surface, it can be painted or wallpapered directly after gluing, without the need for plastering. Related to this is the fact that the location of the electrical fittings has been solved as precisely as possible in the INETON factory:
The electrical preassembly of the prefabricated walls is flush with the wall thanks to magnetic robot technology, requiring much less rework.
Due to the rapid installation of reinforced concrete element products manufactured by INETON, the construction time of the structure has been greatly reduced compared to conventional monolithic structures, which not only reduced the cost of the investment, but also contributed significantly to the optimization of the manpower.
