According to a recent planning application, the stated aim is to increase the number of kindergarten places in the capital's 9th district.

The local government of Ferencváros is planning to build a new nursery school, according to a design competition published on the website of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects. The stated aim of the tender is to increase the number of nursery places in the district. To this end, the new institution will be built on Óbester Street, a side street of Vágóhíd Street, on the property at numbers 5-7.

The objective is also justified by the boom in property development in the area of Vágóhíd Street:

among others, the 516-unit Metrodom Green complex built on the corner of Vágóhíd Street and Vaskapu Street; and at the intersection of Vágóhíd Street and Soroksári Road, more than a thousand flats will be built in City Pearl at the intersection of Vágóhíd Street and Soroksári Road, also requires the development of this type of infrastructure in the area.

It will provide education for nearly a hundred children

The open architectural design competition in question is for the design of a kindergarten for 4 children, including the specialised sections. It will provide classrooms for 24 children.

For the complex of buildings specified in the specifications, architectural proposals are invited which are capable of meeting the criteria set out in the contract notice to the highest possible standard.

After the design competition, a negotiated public procurement procedure without publication of a contract notice will be carried out and the design contract will be awarded to the winner of the design competition.
