Egis Pharmaceuticals inaugurates new active ingredient manufacturing plant in the capital city
Egis Gyógyszergyár Zrt. has unveiled one of the most significant developments in its 112-year history in Budapest. The company will manufacture the active ingredient for a globally leading product at its new HUF 30 billion plant, financed from its own resources, the company announced on Thursday.

During the four-year project, a modern, multi-level manufacturing plant was built, which uses state-of-the-art technical and quality assurance solutions – this can be read on the pharmaceutical company's website.
In addition to the recently completed investment in Budapest, Egis is continuously strengthening its production capacities and market presence. This summer, the company announced that it would be further modernising its Körmend site with developments worth more than HUF 14 billion. Since 2018, investments worth almost HUF 29 billion have been made at this site with state support, creating new jobs.
