School development programme in Fejér: work can begin at four locations

The Székesfehérvár Vocational Training Centre (SZFSZC) announced the results of infrastructure development for several – four, to be precise – of its institutions, as can be read on the TED. The winning contractor – with the exception of one school where no contract was signed – is LV INVEST Szolgáltató Kft., which will carry out the work at a cost of almost HUF 1 billion.

The project is part of the developments implemented in Hungary under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). The following institutions are involved in the development:

• Székesfehérvár SZC Bugát Pál Technical College,
• Széchenyi István Technical College, Székesfehérvár,
• Székesfehérvár SZC Váci Mihály Technical College, Vocational School and Boarding School, and
• SZC Vajda János Technical College in Székesfehérvár. In the case of this school, the implementation is divided into two sub-projects: the school building and the training workshop.

Interior renovations in schools

Partial renovation is underway at the SZFSZC Bugát Pál Technical College building in Székesfehérvár. The interior renovation affects 386 m² of floor space on the ground floor. As part of the energy efficiency improvements, the windows and doors will be replaced and the school will also be fitted with new flooring. A system powered by two 53.6 kW air-to-water heat pumps will be installed to provide heating. In addition, the basement ceiling will also be insulated.

The interior renovation of the SZFSZC Széchenyi István Technical College building in Székesfehérvár covers 1,501 m². During the preservation and renovation work on the locally protected façade, the raw brick wall will be sanded and treated with a water-repellent coating. The damaged, cracked plastered pilasters and cornices will be renewed. The existing metal doors and windows will be replaced with modern steel doors and windows. In addition, the facade without local protection will also be affected by the energy renovation. To provide heating energy, a system powered by two 38 kW heat pumps and a 12 kWp solar panel system will be installed.

The training workshop of the Székesfehérvár SZC Váci Mihály Technical College, Vocational School and Boarding School is also being renovated, with the interior renovation affecting a usable floor area of 1,538 m². During the energy renovation of the building, a facade insulation system will be installed with 14 cm thick mineral wool insulation, and a plinth insulation system with 12 cm thick XPS insulation. In addition to new doors and windows, the educational institution will be modernised by demolishing partition walls, repairing interior plaster and installing PVC flooring.

The three-storey school building and training workshop of the SZFSZC Vajda János Technical College in Bicske is also being renovated. The work will affect the interior of the building, including thermal insulation, replacement of doors and windows, roof and floor repairs, and the installation of a heat pump and solar panel system.
