The thickness of the asphalt is 27 cm instead of the previous 15 cm, and the modernisation was completed by the start of the M1 extension.
The M0/M1 motorway interchange is being renovated from the ground up. So far, 7,200 square metres of pavement have been replaced and two buffer layers are being built on the busy stretch of road.
