Six towns near the border are developing cycle paths along the entire length of the M70, covering more than 25 kilometres.
More than 6.7 kilometres of cycle paths are set to be built as part of the Zala Kétkeréken programme. The contractor has been selected, and work can now begin in the areas of Csapi, Kisrécse, Zalasárszeg and Galambok.
For years, the city of Zala has been discussing the reconstruction and safer intersection of Hevesi Sándor and Rózsa streets. The construction of the roundabout can begin once the work area has been handed over.
EU and national funding will be used to modernise some of the county's four- and five-digit roads, and two sections of the Sümeg-Zalaegerszeg link will also be renewed.
Thanks to the work of Szabadics, the trial operation of the Gelse wastewater treatment plant, which connects the sewerage networks of eight municipalities in Zala, will start.
