Miskolc resort area undergoes a wave of infrastructure development

Miskolctapolca's infrastructure, especially its roads, is being modernised with a new four-part development. According to the announcement published in the European Public Procurement Bulletin, the total net value of the planned investment in the Miskolc resort area is HUF 1,270,426,708. Two of the individual parts will be implemented by Colas Út Építőipari Zrt., while the other two will be implemented by LASPED Kft. and MENTO Kft..

In the first phase, Iglói Street between Győri Street and Pázmány István Promenade will be renovated. The Győri Street junction will be rebuilt. In addition

• replace existing kerbs,
• the sinkholes and manholes in the section are levelled with the planned track level,
• replace the gully grilles,
• the pavements are renewed,
• a cycle path is painted.

In part of this section, corrugated pavement edges will be created to ensure proper drainage.

In the second phase, Colas Út Építőipari Zrt. will renovate Fagyöngy Street and Csabai Street.

The cycle path running along the route Görömbölyi utca - Csabai utca - Fagyöngy utca will be upgraded and (based on the plans of RODEN Kft.) will be transferred to the service road at the end of Fagyöngy utca on the west side of Miskolctapolcai utca.

The Görömbölyi street - Csabai street section will be rebuilt for 564.5 m and the Fagyöngy street between Miskolci út - Csabai street for 171.2 m. The construction also concerns the Hejő-patak bridge on Fagyöngy utca, for which separate section plans have been prepared.

In addition to the renovation of pavements, drinking water pipes will also be replaced or reconstructed.

Quality change on the Miskolctapolca-Görömböly link road

Colas will also work on the reconstruction of the Miskolctapolca road between Csermőkei u. and Győri u., where the utility network will also be reconstructed. All sidewalks will be paved with paving stones. The crumpled asphalt pavement of the existing bus shelters will be replaced with standard design basalt concrete and new kerbs will be built.

The first phase of the Miskolctapolca road reconstruction is already underway: a 2.5 km stretch from the Futó street junction to Iglói street, which is expected to be completed by 28 August.

The fourth major development of the city expected in the near future is the Miskolctapolca-Görömböly link. The current connecting road is currently a poorly maintained gravel road, which will be replaced by a 2X1 lane from the Brassói Street - Engineer Street junction to Bacsinszky Street, for 1.1 km.

In accordance with the road construction, the collection and drainage of rainwater run-off from the road and from the ground to the road and the underpassing of watercourses crossing the road shall be ensured.
