HE-DO to renew four-digit road in Nógrád county

The Magyar Közút Nzrt. road renovation project has commenced, in which the section between kilometre markers 28+000 and 30+200 of the Balassagyarmat-Aszód connecting road, marked 2108, will be modernised by HE-DO. The local government of the town, located near the border of Nógrád and Pest counties, recently announced the renovation of the section of the connecting road that runs through the inner area of Galgaguta information on Facebook. As stated, the work affecting the inner area of the village began on 5 June and will continue for most of the summer.

The project is funded by the EU Operational Programme for Spatial and Urban Development Plus (TOP Plusz). As the tender specification shows, the reconstruction of the road section is also timely because road 2108 is one of the main north-south routes in the county, but the wearing course of the section is ageing.

Less noise in the municipality

The route is inland, so the new pavement will also improve the quality of life for Galgaguta residents, and the road will be much less noisy once the defects have been corrected (which has been the subject of many complaints). The drainage is good, according to the pre-reconstruction surveys, and only requires maintenance. The project will also include the renovation of 6 bus stops on the river, together with the removal of barriers on the platforms.
