Sustainability games and veteran vehicles were part of the VAMAV family day

The long-established company, which designs and manufactures railway turnouts, crossings, track connections and other superstructure structures, VAMAV Kft., which specialises in the design and manufacture of railway turnouts, crossings, track connections and other superstructures, offered entertainment for all ages, but also emphasised how we can bring about change in our environment. In addition to the programmes, visitors to the Kezes-Lábas playhouse were introduced to games that teach sustainability.

In the "playground", innovative tools, independent of electricity, were used to raise awareness of sustainability and the importance of environmental awareness. Children and parents had an easy, playful introduction to forward-looking solutions, including the air hockey bike, the dodgeball bike and the wine harvester or head-turning bike. There were also a number of restored vintage vehicles maintained by the company's employees, which were met with great interest.

Workers could also compete in competitions

In addition to all this, there was a team competition, the pre-announced "city stream" (from siege engine and fortress wall building to battle), which was won by the BOKSZ-STARS. Participants were rewarded with a small company gift, while the winning team members were also awarded a sports voucher. Of course, there were other competitions to enter: one of the most popular was shooting, organised in cooperation with the VAMAV Shooting Sports Club. The close competition lasted until 5 p.m., from where the participants returned home with gifts and the first three places with a sports certificate.

<The prestigious traditional office football match was not left out of the programme either: the result of this match will be marked as a draw from this year. This Friday, the office, or team of office workers, won the cup.

Several shows entertained the audience

In addition to the Groovehouse concert, the Fitt-Kriszti dance group entertained the audience on stage, followed by the performance of Dániel Mogács, who brought cheer and laughter to the faces of many. After the comedian's performance, many people even danced to the excellent show by the Deme Trio.

The raffle draw is always a highly anticipated part of the VAMAV family day, where the grand prize this year was an electric scooter, but there were also a number of prizes - around 100 of various values, useful in sports, home or everyday life.

Recognition of staff is key

At the event, the so-called jubilee employees were recognised: the company's employees with round anniversaries (15, 35 and 40 years) numbered 26 this year, including seven of them who have been working at VAMAV for 40 years, and were awarded a jubilee gold ring in recognition of their achievements.

Another way of maintaining the cooperative, family-like company spirit of VAMAV was to give interested family members and friends the opportunity to take a short factory visit to get an insight into their relative's working environment.
