PERI
The history of PERI in Hungary has been characterised by continuous development and innovation: from its initial product focus, the company has now become a professional centre based on engineering expertise and digitalisation, capable of creating value at every level of the construction industry.

PERI has been present on the Hungarian market since 1990. Over the past 35 years, it has participated in numerous significant domestic investments: bridges, motorways, industrial and cultural facilities, public buildings and monument reconstructions demonstrate the company's performance – not to mention countless residential and office buildings.

Among the most important references are the Paks–Kalocsa Bridge, the M44 Tisza Bridge, the M85 Sopron tunnel system, and the capital's iconic transport investments: the Megyeri Bridge and the M4 Metro stations. Among cultural and public building developments, the Ethnographic Museum, the National Dance Theatre, the renovation of the Várkert Bazár, and the Kossuth Square underground car park near the Parliament stand out. Among industrial investments, the Mercedes-Benz factory in Kecskemét demonstrates the power of PERI's engineering solutions, while in the commercial sphere, it provided support for the construction of the Etele Plaza and other shopping centres. Among the historic building renovations, the dome of the Szeged Synagogue and the Szolnok Castle, which serve to preserve cultural heritage, are worth mentioning.

Strong background

The international background of PERI is a significant advantage on the Hungarian market. Engineering experience and knowledge gained worldwide result in solutions that can be adapted to the needs of different building cultures and customs. The experience gained from numerous international projects contributes directly to continuous product development and innovation.

„In addition, belonging to the group allows for flexible and efficient management of material supply, ensuring that equipment is always available where it is needed, even for large-scale, complex projects," shared the staff of PERI with our newspaper.

New developments once again support the construction industry

At the anniversary event, PERI presented the latest developments in the DUO system, which serve sustainability, safety and efficiency alike. The DUO hinged corner is already available on the Hungarian market, while accessories for the base frame, the levelling plate and the concrete console adapter will be available from the end of 2025. From 2026, the transparent formwork shell, which allows the quality and level of the concrete to be checked during construction, and the DUO circular column formwork will be available. Developments include a new main support that allows early formwork removal up to a slab thickness of 30 cm with fewer supports, and a new concrete pouring bracket adapter that facilitates the creation of safe working levels. The direction for the future is indicated by the prototype of biopolymer panels, which could bring a new level of sustainability to construction.

The anniversary was celebrated at an event befitting its market role.

Approximately 200 participants – including 145 partners and guests, as well as 55 PERI colleagues – celebrated together at the event. The event was honoured by the presence of Stan Wojcieszczyk, Head of the Eastern European Country Group at PERI Group, and László Koji, President of ÉVOSZ, who emphasised the outstanding role of PERI in education in his opening speech and presented a certificate of recognition to Managing Director Miklós Ézsiás.

PERI places great emphasis on training the next generation: it provides theoretical and practical education in many secondary schools across the country, as well as part of university courses. It regularly participates in higher education career days, job fairs and secondary school events, where the company's experts often give spectacular presentations. Relations with institutions are maintained by a dedicated education team, which includes sales representatives, designers, product managers and on-site training colleagues.

„We were also joined by Radoslav Kopka, managing director of PERI Slovakia, who shared his first-hand experience of the Slovak market and highlighted the success of the MAXIMO system.”

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the DUO assembly competition, which was open to teams of two. There was also great interest in the extended reality (XR) presentation, which was given in an interactive format by Orsolya Szendrei, head of the design department. The XR solutions of PERI make it possible to realistically explore and check the planned structures and systems digitally before implementation. The DUO live table football tournament was also a huge success, with guests acting as players and the pitch being an enlarged installation made from DUO elements.
