VABEKO can help our country's natural gas storage with more work

You can perform complex tasks for the Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt. using the VABEKO Kft.. The long-established VABEKO, which is also involved in the licensing, design and maintenance of natural gas facilities, will be responsible for three years for the procurement of systems required for above-ground technology and non-technological areas.

The company's specialists have extensive experience in maintenance, and have been involved in all major gas system maintenance work since the company was founded in 1997. Their expertise is demonstrated by the fact that, until recently, the company carried out maintenance work on 200 km of the ADRIA oil pipeline. The new task of the company, which won the tender mentioned here, totalling more than HUF 42 million, is to

• installation of the air conditioning on the first floor of the instrument building in Nagyhegyese, and
• Reconstruction of lighting and extension of the fire alarm system in Baktüttös.

Outdated systems need to be replaced 

The air-conditioning systems of the Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt. Hajdúszoboszló Underground Gas Storage at Nagyhegyes, in the instrument building III, are obsolete, so the Vabeko is tasked to replace them to ensure better operational efficiency and stable operation. 

The other part of the project was the upgrading of the lighting of the underground gas storage area of Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt. Pusztaederics and the lighting of the Portabil gas preparation (PG) process area. The reconstruction of the lighting at Baktüttös will bring significant energy savings by replacing the existing halogen floodlights. PG technology will be equipped with new local lighting controlled by both dimmer and manual switches.
In addition, the current fire alarm system in Baktüttös needs to be upgraded. The containers and transformers for the compressor drives, which are part of the electrical substation, need to be integrated into the existing fire alarm system in order to ensure the operational safety of the storage facility and to take into account HAZOP aspects. The existing fire alarm system should be extended to the transformer buildings K-003; K-004; K-005 and the adjacent container complex K1-K2-K3-K4-K5-K6-K7. The new protection devices will have to be integrated into the current system.
