The OTP M12 office building has been awarded a landscape architecture prize

The Hungarian Association of Landscape Architects has selected the winners of the 2023 Landscape Architecture Awards from entries received in an open competition. At the award ceremony, the representatives of the winning projects received the prizes in 10 categories, and the jury also awarded two special prizes. This year, the main criterion for the evaluation was the ecological approach.

This recognition was also awarded to the OTP M12 office building constructed using the Market Építő Zrt. system, according to the company's Facebook post. As they write, the M12 office building won in the ‘Industrial area, office environment, institutional gardens’ category. They emphasise that, from a landscape architecture perspective, the credit goes directly to Borbála Gyüre, Gergely Lád, Emese Kántor-Turi (colleagues at Geum Műterem Kft.) and Ferenc Szentkirályi-Tóth.

In addition to creating indoor and outdoor green areas on eight different levels of the new office building, which will have a floor area of nearly 84,000 square meters, the planned ground floor garden had to be connected to the existing garden of the BSR office building, which was underbuilt in 100 %, and the existing garden of the Babér u. 9 office building, which was also built on cultivated soil.
