A long-term development plan is also being prepared by the ministry, which could raise the whole facility to a higher level.

He explained that the €381 million in funding now being provided will be used to carry out the works needed to safely reopen parts of the lake, with the aim of rapid intervention to ensure access to the covered water. The Hévíz Spa and St. Andrew's Rheumatology Hospital, which operates the spa, is responsible for carrying out the short-term restoration. However, significant improvements are needed for the long-term operation of the Lake Baths. Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium (ÉKM) is responsible for the preparation, coordination and implementation of investments for the long-term, comprehensive development of the facility.
