VAMAV offers a new training centre and popular courses for career starters and professionals

VAMAV Kft. VAMAV Kft. has expanded its training centre in 2023 with new training courses and increased training space The company strives for a perfect match between its own products and services, with professional training being a key aspect.

For more than 70 years, VAMAV Kft. has been the leading manufacturer of sidings, track clearances and other special railway superstructures in Hungary. Modern siding structures require special expertise in design, manufacture, transport, installation and operational activities such as periodic inspections, maintenance and servicing.

The company offers its partners structured education and training to acquire knowledge about the products it manufactures, and encourages active dialogue between market players, thus promoting the professional implementation of the above activities.

The company's experts provide extensive engineering advice, on-site technical and installation support to help you install and commission your structures faster.

Professionals can train in a new training centre

The VAMAV Kft. is actively involved in creating a marketable workforce and maintaining the acquired knowledge, which contributes to the continuous high quality of operations to meet customer needs.

Theoretical and practical training is provided in the company's own training centre, which opened in October 2018. This has made it possible to separate product-specific training from production, so that training can take place in a state-of-the-art environment that meets all needs without disrupting the company's core business.

In 2022, the VAMAV Training Centre will be expanded and in 2023 it will offer a new look, increased classroom space, additional demonstration structures and new training courses.

They also provide traineeships for newcomers

One of the company's most popular courses is training in the installation, commissioning and operation of advanced encapsulated locking devices and hydraulic power transmission systems, with over 100 students enrolled each year.

The company's programmes to ensure the supply of skilled human resources are also successful.

• These include, for example, the dual system of training for students in certain vocational secondary schools, which previously reported in detail in our magazine.
• They also provide practical training space and factory visits for participants in the early career graduate programmes and students in the MÁV Zrt. higher education career development and maintenance courses.
• In some cases, on-site, field-based training will be provided if justified by specific circumstances and cost and time efficiency.

Taken together, more than a thousand people have taken part in some form of training organised by VAMAV Kft. over the years.

There are two levels of traineeships for new entrants to the company  

The VAMAV Kft. trainee programme mentioned above consists of two levels. At the first level, candidates are supported in completing the mandatory internship. On the one hand, this gives young people the opportunity to get to know the company's activities and even to write a thesis in the company and, on the other hand, it enables VAMAV to assess whether the student who has completed the traineeship is suitable for a future traineeship or other work placement, based on his/her interest, professional knowledge and attitude.

At the second level, full-time students who do well in their placements can get involved in day-to-day work 2-5 days a week.
