According to the terms of the conditional public procurement procedure, the standard of transport services on railway lines 80 and 40 may improve.

As more and more railway lines are being electrified, more and more powerful electric locomotives are being used. As a result, the total electricity demand for rail transport is constantly increasing. To meet these needs, a conditional public procurement procedure has been launched for the design and construction of the MÁV Pályaműködtetési Zrt. 5 substation district, as can be read on TED.

According to the information available, Homlok Fővállalkozó Építőipari és Kereskedelmi Kft. could implement the project in question at a total cost of more than HUF 6.6 billion.

The goal

  • improvement of traction power supply on the MÁV Pályaműködtetési Zrt. network,
  • strengthening resource-efficient modes of transport
  • and improving the quality and efficiency of transport services.

Development is necessary due to the constantly growing demand for electricity.

With the expansion of electrified railway lines and the increase in the number and unit capacity of electric traction vehicles, the electricity demand for train traffic is constantly growing. The development may affect the following five substation districts:

  • Kimle,
  • Tatabánya,
  • Füzesabony,
  • Nyékládháza,
  • Free Church.

The winning company will be responsible for preparing the implementation plan documentation for railway line 80 between Füzesabony and Nyékládháza substation, as well as for railway line 40 between Szabadegyháza substation, and for carrying out the following main works:

  • Complete reconstruction of 132/25 kV transformer fields with architecture,
  • Complete reconstruction of a 25 kV traction system with gas-insulated switchgear, structural engineering,
  • renovation and establishment of a reserve fund,
  • MÁV Renovation and conversion of the control building as required, landscaping,
  • hydrocarbon separators, establishment of oil-contaminated rainwater collection basins,
  • Reconstruction of 25 kV power supply,
  • control technology, dispatching system and their communications, as well as their power supply,
  • auxiliary plant, complete reconstruction of consumption measurement,
  • reconstruction of the substation earthing and lightning protection system,
  • reconstruction and installation of outdoor lighting, property protection and fire protection systems to the extent necessary,
  • building construction,
  • development and expansion of operational systems,
  • the necessary reconstruction and expansion of the telecommunications system, and
  • obtaining operating licences.
