Leier's unique solutions and prefabricated products have been used to renovate the water park in Győr

The company is proud to have been part of one of the most significant investments in the city today.

On 17 June 2023, one of the most significant investments in Győr in recent years, the Rába Quelle Water Park and Spa, opened its doors. The project was carried out by F-E Győri Vízi Élménypark Konzorcium, consisting of Euro-Generál, Kft., FÉSZ and Zrt.. The Győr-based Leier Hungária Kft. and the members of the consortium have already worked together on several large-scale projects in recent years, including the Kaposvár and Sopron swimming pool.

"Construction of the complex started in the summer of 2021. The first task was to manufacture and supply the prefabricated stairs of the 32-metre high soda siphon tower, one of the main attractions.

For the stairs, we had to use a unique manufacturing solution: according to the architect's vision, the stairs had to be designed with a rough, visible surface, and the highest slip resistance class was also required due to the nature of the sliding tower's use. This had to be achieved with a so-called matted - roughened - surface, so that the stairs, thanks to the factory prefabrication, meet the highest non-slip class R13 in addition to the high aesthetic requirements and the most stringent conditions for wet environments tested by - ÉMI - ".

The spa environment has also been renovated with Leier products

An outdoor, arched grandstand has been built into the side of the flood protection embankment of the theme park, which will later host outdoor performances and film screenings. It was also important to create a non-slip concrete surface that would remain rough, so the solution already used in the sliding tower was applied. The grandstands are also accessed via prefabricated stairs manufactured by Leier.

A flood protection barrier will also be built at the confluence of the Danube and the Rába to prevent the complex from being submerged during floods. The flood protection embankment is nearly 400 metres long, more than 300 metres long.

The curved reinforced concrete wall was sealed with exposed concrete cover slabs using a unique metal template. The design of the backstage for the traffic between the salvaged and non-salvaged areas and the production of the custom corner elements were no problem for the Leier Hungária Kft.

In addition to the custom and precast reinforced concrete elements, the surface and subsurface drainage of the theme park was also realized with civil engineering elements manufactured by Leier.

The final and most spectacular part of the project was the paving of car parks, pavements, walkways and community spaces. The paving involved the installation of the new Patria from Leier's extensive range of landscaping products, as well as the classic Quadro small blocks and Solido heavy-duty paving stones, over a total area of more than 20,000 square metres. An additional 100 Leier flower boxes were installed on the 300-stall parking slab.
