Hotel and office building in the new Népliget centre, Liberty

The office section of the first phase of the mixed-use project being developed at WING, Liberty, has received its occupancy permit, allowing the first office tenants, eMAG and GEODIS, to move in, according to a statement from the property developer. With the handover of this part of the building, the 360-square-metre joint retail store of the Focivilág and Absolute Teamsport sports retail chains will also open to customers.

We regularly provided information about the significant development of the new office district in Népliget on magyarepitok.hu, mostly with the help of the contractors. The Liberty civil engineering works are being carried out by HBM Soletanche Bachy Kft., the structural work was carried out by Swietelsky Magyarország Kft., while the final general construction was undertaken by Bernecker Zrt.. The designer was DPI design Kft., and the technical supervisor of the project was VL Mérnökiroda Kft.

Underground garage and green area

At the same time, the entire 650-space underground car park will be available, with public parking, bicycle storage and associated changing facilities in the car park. In addition to the internal garden with outdoor furniture, the green area between the Telekom and Liberty buildings will provide recreational facilities for the building's tenants.

The Liberty development in District IX, located next to the Telekom headquarters, will be built in two phases. In the first phase, a total of almost 10,000 sqm of the southern wing will be occupied by A+ office space on floors 1 to 4, while the ground floor and floors 5 to 8 will be occupied by hotel space - a dual-branded combo hotel, the three-star ibis Budapest Stadium and four-star Tribe Budapest Stadium - and retail units.

Work is already underway to complete the 20,000 square metre north wing

The Liberty is located at the intersection of Könyves Kálmán körút and Albert Flórián út, at the gateway to the city centre from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The M3 metro line provides a direct connection to the city centre, tram No. 1 passing in front of the building is useful for Hungária körút passengers, and there are domestic and international connections from the Népliget bus station and Ferencváros railway station opposite.
